I had the coolest email this week, from a girl thanking me for the books, and for writing back to her when she emails… and it got me thinking. We don’t say thank you often enough! So let’s do something about it….
Here is Emma’s email, which started me thinking….
Thanks Cathy for writing to me the way you do. You’re an international writer who has loads of fans and yet you still take time to write back to each one of us personally. You answer our questions and help us out. I know no other author who does that so thanks!
And thanks, too, because your books are so inspirational. They help me understand and believe and want to stand up for myself! Thanks, Cathy!
So… who would I say thanks to? Lot of people, for lots of things!!!!
A big THANKS to my fab family, for putting up with me… to my friends… to all the fab crew at Puffin books & also to my agent, for making my dreams come true… to my writer-gal pals, Fiona Gibson, Lisa Clark, Magi Gibson & Meg Rosoff, for patience, laughs & understanding… to Fluffy Puffin, for everything… to Kitty’s Tearoom, for having the best cake in the known universe… to the cool kids who came to the EDINBURGH BOOK FEST recently, to see me…. to everyone who emails me with feedback & support… everyone who voted for me in Queen of Teen… to Daisy & Kelpie (dogs), Midnight & Snowy (rabbits) & Lily, Pickle & Pepper (cats) for letting me stroke them… to llamas, for existing… and lots, lots more. Including Emma N, for giving me the cool idea for this blog!

I have written you soo many emails and I cant believe that you have answered every single one. I dont know any other author to do that. I am saying a big thankyou now but i would really like to say thanks in person. I have looked on your camper page but I cant see any events in or near Cardiff. Are you coming here any time soon. I really hope so coz you are my all time Fave author…Thanks again for taking the time to reply to us and writing all your BRILLIANT books…

A big thanks to Katie, the best mate in the world and Saarah, Khadeeja, Lorena and Marise for helping me when I had a fight with my other frends. To Nicky (Nicholas), Kieran and Jack who’ve been my friends for a long time even though they are very annoying haha. To my family for supporting me when I write at home sometimes, to Annie (my dog) for well…being my dog haha, and to my ex- teacher I suppose for getting me through all my exams and stuff and getting me ready for High School. And of course, last but not least, Cathy Cassidy and her outstanding books! Cathy, you are an amazing writer and you take your time to write back to us. Your books encourage us to think about life and that we should appreciate what we’ve got. You are so inspirational to me and to everyone who is either reading one of your outstanding books or on this website. Please keep writing because you never let us down with your books. hi cathy! at first i always thought that there could not be better then jackline wilson books! but when my friend recomannded indigo blue i read it and i liked it a lot so i desided to read all you books and i liked them all so much so thank you cathy! thank you sooooooooooooo much for writing books! for changing my life ( plz plz reply)
Thankyou so much for being such a extraordinary, unique, quirky and different writer. Once i have finished one of your books i feel sad because the extrodinary journey is over. you make me feel invinsible and make everything feel possible.

This is the first time i have been on this website, but i have got all your books. Well nearly! But when i found out that you actually reply to the emails we send you i wanted to say thats GREAT! no one else does that, they send you stuff that has been written down to years ago, and reply it to anybody. i just wanted to say i think thats great. and so are your books so thanks.

I don’t usually find an author that I like. Very rarely. But, it’s amazing how I enjoy reading every single book that your write. My favourte one is Ginger Snaps, I <3’d it! I read it in like 1 hour and I was so upset when I finished reading it…:(…I would love it if you wrote the next part of Ginger Snaps. I want to see what happens with Ginger’s life next!
Looking forward to reading more of your gr8T books!!!
