Sundae Girl

Will shy girl Jude ever share her secrets?

‘Don’t get me wrong, I love my family – but mum is forty-four going on fourteen . . .’

Jude’s family are crazy, quirky, bizarre . . . her mum brings her plenty of problems and her dad thinks he’s Elvis! All she wants is a hassle-free life – but it’s not easy when she’s chasing her mum’s trail of broken promises.

Nothing seems to go Jude’s way, until she realizes the floppy-haired boy from school could be her knight on shining rollerblades. And that sometimes, when everything turns sour, only something sweet can make it ok . . .

  5. The book was amazing, i couldn`t put it down and read it in only 1 day! It gives a good touch on what it`s like to have a mum with a problem with drinking and a family thats totally weird! This book was sad, funny at times, romantic and crazy.
I have yet to read Cathy Cassidy`s other books. Hope their just as good as this one!

  7. I love this book. At first I thought it would be boring because I was reading it for English but then I really enjoyed it. I am writing an essay about it right now and I really don’t mind writing it! That’s a first for homework. I also have Dizzy and Indigo Blue but I never have the time to read them…I’m going to have to make time now! You’re a brilliant writer! Hope to see you at the Grampian Book Awards.

  8. I went into asda because I was looking for something to read. I saw the glittery writing and picked the book up. Once I had read what the book was about I wanted to get it straight away and then read it. But the queue was really long. I had to help my dad with packing the bags. When I eventually got home I started to read it. I finished the book within one day. Cathy Cassidy knows how to make you want to read on.Especially at the ends of chapters.

  9. Hi Cathy its abbie a girl from st john vianney where you came to visit. When i brought your book some of my friends told me that the book was really good. I loved it when you said the part about coventry and tile hill when you came to my school, when you said that you grew up in tile hill i felt a shiver going up my body because i also grew up there! But now i live in kenilworth i havent really got used to it yet, i havent made any friends round there! I havent finished the book yet but i cant wait to finish it. I loved it when you came to my school!! I daydream more than i used too, because you said daydreaming helps you to imagine what your going to write!! Love Abbie

P.s….good luck on your tour in coventry xx
