Sundae Girl

Will shy girl Jude ever share her secrets?

‘Don’t get me wrong, I love my family – but mum is forty-four going on fourteen . . .’

Jude’s family are crazy, quirky, bizarre . . . her mum brings her plenty of problems and her dad thinks he’s Elvis! All she wants is a hassle-free life – but it’s not easy when she’s chasing her mum’s trail of broken promises.

Nothing seems to go Jude’s way, until she realizes the floppy-haired boy from school could be her knight on shining rollerblades. And that sometimes, when everything turns sour, only something sweet can make it ok . . .

  6. Hi Cathy!
    Sundae Girl was AMAZING.
I have just bought Scarlett, Dizzy, Indigo Blue and Driftwood with my christmas money. Iv’e started to read Dizzy and it is even better than Sundae Girl. All my friends are CRAZY about your books too! Your stories are WAY better than Jacquline Wilson’s. I cant wait to read all the rest of your books. I LOVE THEM. I would rate then 1 million out of 10 they are that good! Keep writing stories as good as these. They are so fantastic I cant put them down! Woohoo Cathy Cassidy you rock my world!

  9. I love this book! It’s so funny and witty! Her family are so outrageous and I feel sorry for her but who would want to read a book with a boring charater with a boring family? I feel sorry about how she has to cope with her mum though. Also if only there really was guys in the world just like Carter. Well that’s what daydreaming is for . . .

  10. I really loved this book. I’ve read all the CAthy CAssidy books except from Lucky Star, which my teacher hasn’t got in the calssroom. I love all the Cathy Cassidy books, and the character I admire most is definitely Scarlett, but Misti in Indigo Blue was also one of my favorites. Driftwood tackled some really important issues of the world today, as do all, but the book I could realte to most was Sundae girl. Jude is very brave and has a strong heart. Her situation is very common and similar to mine not so long ago. Lots of peple do have this problem, and the thing I love most about all the Cathy Cassidy books is that they tackle real life issues of girls from just about any age group, whist still making a fantabulously funny, tender- hearted and intriguing read. Write another book, please, Cathy, please!
