Sundae Girl

Will shy girl Jude ever share her secrets?

‘Don’t get me wrong, I love my family – but mum is forty-four going on fourteen . . .’

Jude’s family are crazy, quirky, bizarre . . . her mum brings her plenty of problems and her dad thinks he’s Elvis! All she wants is a hassle-free life – but it’s not easy when she’s chasing her mum’s trail of broken promises.

Nothing seems to go Jude’s way, until she realizes the floppy-haired boy from school could be her knight on shining rollerblades. And that sometimes, when everything turns sour, only something sweet can make it ok . . .

  2. i’ve read all of cathy cassidy’s books, which are quite frankly some of the best teenage books i’ve ever read! you really relate to Jude and cathy cassidy really knows what goes in teenager’s heads! its pretty amazing really. the story goes into her family life and how her mum drinks a lot and eventually admits she has a problem, after many unkept promises and false hope. Something really bad happens in Jude’s family. I cried so much! so be warned. you might need a box of tissues! Jude gets lovely
suprise at the end! It soon becomes clear that this book still maintains the superb quality of all of the other books by Cathy Cassidy. This is a story which tells about a young girl’s courage to help her alocholic mum. Its inspiring, romantic and really touches the heart. It’s a must read!

  6. Oh my word! These books get better and better each time. Sundae Girl is a fabby book. I love the characters -especially Jude and Carter – and the story was really gripping. I was getting travel sickness becuase I couldn’t put it down when I was going on holiday. It’s funny how Jude and me both passed our Grade 4 piano with merit. READ THIS AND READ THIS

  8. Oh My God! This book is really good. I’m on the last chapter, it’s sad and funny. I’m really glad i brought this book. Once i’ve finshed it i’ll probably read it again so it’s stuck in my mind or borrow it to a friend. It’s taken me three days to read it and i can’t wait to read another one of her books.

  9. Hi Cathy I thought sundae girl was absoloutely great! I like romance
stories so this book was good for me. I only got this book yesterday
(April 14th) and have already finished it! I found it really sad that
Jude’s Gran had Old-timer’s disease. If I had to give this book a rating out of five it would be five!

  10. The book is as fantastic as the others. Although I don’t have
embarrising parents or grandparents I can relate to how Jude is feeling about not being able to let anyone get close. Can’t wait to read the next book! Your books are like an addiction.
