Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.
Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .
The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?

I loved Summer’s Dream especially now that I’m struggling with an eating disorder myself (it’s not as bad as Summer’s though). “The Chocolate Box Girls” is an amazing book series and Cathy Cassidy is definitely one of my favorite authors ❤️
truly amazing book!!!!!! everything about it was so thought through and detailed. not only did it give me something exciting and interesting to read, but it taught me what anorexia was really about. thank you for your books. for giving me hope and the courage to never give up on my dreams. someday ill meet you, someday.

This book is absolutely amazing! I love how you can relate to the characters and it feels like you’re actually Summer! Well done Cathy, my fav book I’ve read! Love Summer, she’s my one of my fav characters out of all your characters, joint with Alice from Looking Glass Girl, I love how I can relate to her.
