Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts.
Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control . . .
The more Summer tries to find perfection, the more lost she becomes. Will she realise – with the help of the boy who wants more than friendship – that dreams come in all shapes and sizes?
OMG!! Forget Skye, Summer could easily be my identical twin! The book was brill and I found it easy to spot the similarities between Summer and I! I had better make sure that I don’t become anorexic also…
i love all the chocolate box girls series sooooo much i had read them all but i told my school librarian that i had only read reviews and i made her buy all of Cathy Cassidy’s books and it costs allot of money but i didn’t care at least i got to read them again. I have read all the Cathy Cassidy Chocolate Box Girls series and this one is my favourite! I love to dance and summer and I have a lot in common. I recommend this book, it takes you into a world of dreams. A big thumbs up for ‘Summers Dream!’
I love all the Chocolate Box girl books… I love Cathy Cassidy
I LOVE this book! Out of all the Tanberry sisters I am definitely most like Summer. I really sympathise with what she’s feeling and I really want to be a ballet dancer and I found a boy I liked but he was like Aaron.
Summer is my favourite chocolate box girl. I love this series and would recomend it to anyone x
It’s scary how many reviews say “I want to be like Summer!”
No. You don’t want to be like Summer. Was this book meant to trigger eating disorders? It’s a good story, but it has glamourized a dangerous mental illness.
I loved this book soooooo much!!!! Summer is so amazing!!! I read that book a million times!!!
Summer,
Hey I was just wondering how did you over come your eating disorder in the end of it all because it never described it in any of the books and it seems like a very difficult thing to be going through? One more thing how did you feel when you found out Shay Fletcher had cheated on Honey with your new step sister Cherry but one thing still how did Cherry let this happen I know Shay was interested in her and everything but still?
This was the very first book from Cathy I’ve read! It was so amazing I’ve read all of the Chocolate Box Girls that are out yet so just not Fortune Cookie YET! (In total including the Chocolate Box Girls I’ve read 8 1/2 books) Thank you so much Cathy! Please visit Carlisle!
