GingerSnaps

Is Ginger’s best friend really her biggest rival?

‘You can make a wish come true, if you’re determined . . .’

Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem. Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?

Reviews of GingerSnaps

  1. Hello Cathy! Even though I’m 10, I’m writing a book about a 13 year old girl named Ava who has divorced parents. She’s a real clever-clogs, and she doesn’t really get into trouble, but she’s sent to live with her Dad in Scotland with her Dad’s Scottish girlfriend Iona, and Iona’s weird family, but when Ava meets Iona’s friend’s son James, everything changes…
I’m really inspired by you, Cathy, and your books liven up my country life. The thing that started me writing this book is one of your books, Scarlett, and I thank you.
From Betty (I know, I know, a really old-fashioned name, but I’m proud of it!)

  6. I can’t wait to read this book! I look forward to it. I like the concept of how this story takes place in school because when high school starts, this is when all the drama happens. Ginger is like any other girl just finding her way through life by making a lot of decisions. I really hope me and anybody else who reads this enjoys it because from reading the blurb, it’s already exciting to me! Wish you the best of luck in life Cathy,

  8. Wow…just WOW. This is my second time reading Gingersnaps and I absolutely LIVE IT!! Your writing is so good and DETAILED that when I’m reading I feel like I’m right next to Ginger, going through all her problems with her.

The ending was pretty sad for me because I expected Ginger and (you know who) to get together. But I guess it was for the best and now she has real friends.
